8th Grade Applicant (Class of 2028)

To be considered for Financial Aid/Tuition Assistance in our first-round, a prospective member of the Class of 2028 must: submit a complete admissions application, sit for the Entrance-Scholarship Exam at GMAHS and complete a Financial Aid application with all supporting documents. The application will open for first-round consideration starting September 12, 2023 and must be submitted by October 6, 2023 

Deadline for Applying for Financial Aid:          October 20, 2023
Deadline for Submitting 2022 Tax Returns:     October 20, 2023
Notification of Financial Aid Offer:                   October/November 2023
Submit 2023 Tax Returns                                  By April 15, 2023

8th Grade Late Applicant (Class of 2028)

After October 20, 2023, all financial aid applications submitted for an applicant to the Class of 2028 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Families will be notified of a Financial Aid Offer as part of their daughter's admissions packet.

Transfer Applicants

All transfer applicants to GMAHS are eligible to apply for financial aid.  Financial Aid Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Families will be notified of a Financial Aid Offer as part of their daughter's admissions packet.

*Awards cannot be given until 2023 tax returns have been received.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School requires families receiving financial aid to reapply each year. All supporting documentation is required each year as well. Students receiving financial aid must be in good standing as stated in our financial policy.

Current families that miss the application deadline may not be considered in the first round of awards.

All of the information related to the parents’ financial circumstances will be treated confidentially by the Financial Aid Committee.

Financial aid is applied to tuition only. Financial aid is not available for new student fees, activity fees, textbooks, uniforms, lunches, etc.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School believes that parents share the obligation to pay for the educational expenses of their children. It is the responsibility of the custodial parent to ask the non-custodial parent to complete the Blackbaud application. The Financial Aid Committee will consider the assets of both natural parents.

No, once you apply for the upcoming year, the only thing we require is your current tax return and documentation for the most recent year.

A new tax legislation includes an arrangement that allows 529 plan account owners to use assets to pay for qualified K-12 tuition expenses up to $10,000 per year, per student. Account owners can treat qualified K-12 withdrawals as qualified expenses with respect to the federal and Pennsylvania state tax benefits.
